Agenda

(Lincoln Day!  is written on the board)
(Students have been told over the course of two weeks that we will have a full hour dedicated to President Abraham Lincoln)
(Students were told yesterday that tomorrow would be all about Abraham Lincoln)
Me:  "I'm so excited to tell you all about Abraham Lincoln!  He is one of my favorite presidents.  We are going to start with a video and then I will give you some notes!"
(silence)
Student #1:  "So, we are only talking about Lincoln?"
(I silently turn around to start the video)
(Student is muttering in their seat)
Student #1:  "Really?  Just Lincoln?"
(silence)
Student #2 (to me):  "God be with you."
