Multi-Media

Me:  "We are going to watch a video called, World War I in Colour and HD.  It's really neat because so much of what we see from World War I is in black and white."

(Deciding to play a joke on my class, I begin to play a video called Empires in China)

(Students watch video for five minutes)

(I stop the video)

Me:  "Seriously?  None of you wondered why we were watching a video about China and not about World War I?  Not one of you thought it was odd?  Not one of you asked me what was going on?"

Student #1:  "I was going to say something, but I was scared you'd yell at me."

Student #2:  "Yea, all I could think was, 'I didn't know China started World War I'."
