(Students working on projects about the movie, Eight Men Out)
(One student decides to write a poem about the 1919 World Series)
Student:  "Mrs. A, Do you want to hear the start of my poem?"
Me:  "Sure."
Student:  "The World Series of 1919 was a big scandal...I'm Arab so I would have thrown my sandal."
(silence)
Me:  "Keep working."
