Statue

Student:  “Mrs. A, I made this for you.  I knew that you were the only one that would appreciate it and the only one that would keep it.”
(Student holding something behind their back)

Me:  “What is it?”

Student:  “It’s a dog in a wheelchair.”

Me:  “It’s amazing!”

Student:  “Thanks!  Also notice that it only has one ear.  He is like Van Gogh.  He cut off his ear and gave it to a prostitute.”

(silence)

Me:  “I will cherish this forever.  Thank you so much.”

Student: “I’m glad and you’re welcome.”
