Historical History

Me:  "It is important that you know, for the test, John Locke's notion of 'life, liberty and property'.  Where have we heard those terms before?"
Student #1:  "In our history books last year."
Me:  "Ummmm.  Sure, but I mean which document that is important to us, as Americans?"
Student #2:  "The Declaration of Independence."
Me:  "Good."
Student #1:  "That WAS in our history book last year."
