April Fools!

Student #1:  "Mrs. A, when is April Fool's Day?"

Me (puzzled):  "Like this year as in the day of the week?"

Student #1:  "No, the date."

Me:  "Seriously?"

Student #1:  "Yes, everyone is making fun of me for not knowing."

(silence)

Student #1:  "I mean, I know it's not in May."

(silence)

Student #1:  "Why won't you answer me?"

(silence)

Me:  "It's...ummm...April First."

(silence)

Student #1(clearly agitated):  "Well, what?  Am I supposed to know what EVERY day means?"

(silence)

Student #2 (to Student #1):  "You shouldn't know what EVERY day means, but you should know the major holidays!"

Student #1:  "Well, I know when Christmas is..."

Student #2:  "Ok, when is Christmas?"

Student #1:  "Ummm December 29?"

Student #3:  "Are you serious?!?!  You don't know?!  IT'S JESUS' BIRTHDAY!!!"

Student #1:  "Maybe I was dropped on my head as a baby."
