Me: "So, President Johnson passed a bunch of programs to help the poor. He was able to create Medicare and Medicaid. You need to know the differences between the two programs. Try and remember it like this: Medicare cares for the elderly and Medicaid caids the poor."

Student: "Why didn't you just say that Medicaid aids the poor."
(silence)
(other students nodding in agreement)
Me: "No. That doesn't make any sense."
(student appears very confused)
Student: "Wait. Caids isn't even a word."
Me: "Isn't it?"
