Me:  "So, let's work toward handing some assignments in this marking period so you can pass."
Female Student:  "Ok."
Me:  "Because even though you want to marry rich, you still may have to have a skill that gets you a job."
(silence)
Female Student:  "Who is Rich?"
(silence)
Me:  "Wow.  Ok.  I meant that you may want to marry someone wealthy."
Female Student:  "Ohhhhh.  Because I don't know any Rich."
