Comparing

(Students sitting nervously awaiting their final exams)

Me: "Just do the best you can. I'm sure you all studied and will not have a problem."

(All students laugh because they know that they don't study)

Me: "Remember that the essay is a compare and contrast between the Vietnam War and World War II."

Student: "The Vietnam War....that's the one that was fought in Korea, right?"

(All students laugh...but one)

Me (addressing the one student): "Don't worry...that was a joke. The Vietnam War was fought in Vietnam."

(Silence)

Student That Didn't Laugh: "I don't get it."
