Buddha v. Gandhi

Student:  "Mrs. A, you know who really made a difference with his hunger strike?  Buddha."
(silence)
Student:  "It's wasn't Buddha, was it?"
(silence)
Student:  "It was that other guy."
(silence)
Me:  "It was Gandhi."
Student:  "Oh, yea!  Buddha was too fat to have a hunger strike."
