(Students just finished taking a three-hour standardized test)
(It had to be absolutely silent in the classroom for three hours)
Student (to me after the test): "Mrs. A, if I had farted really loud during the test, would I have gotten kicked out?"
Me: "I probably would have moved your desk outside and made you finish in the cold."
Student: "Ha! I get it...so, if I wouldn't bother my classmates with the smell."
Me: "Right. Also, what do you think I was doing while I was circulating around the class?"
(silence)
(student looking confused)
Other Student: "Dude, she was farting."
(silence)
(other students looking grossed out)
(I did not tell them it was a joke)
