Ways to an A

Student #1 (writing a contract to me about how he will succeed this semester in my class)
Student #2 (reading the contract over the shoulder of Student #1)

Student #2:  "What are you doing?"
Student #1:  "Writing a contract to Mrs. A about how I am going to do better in her class and not fail this time."
Student #2:  "Nice.  Write in there about how you are going to have way more sex with your girlfriend."
Me:  "Ummmm...that is not helpful and it is not that type of contract."
Student #2:  "Maybe not, but it would sure put him in a better mood.  And being in a better mood means better grades.  And you will get those grades with more sex."
(silence)
Me (to Student #2):  "Go away now."
