(Student presenting their final exam project on Tim Allen. This student never has spoken in class.)
(After talking about his background and movies for about five minutes…)
Student: “So…I guess you just need to take two things away from this presentation. One, in 1978, Tim Allen was arrested for carrying a pound and a half of cocaine. The only reason he isn’t still in jail is because he gave up about eight of the larger drug dealers. Two, about twenty years later, he got arrested for drunk driving.”
(Students erupt into applause)
(After all presentations, I address the class)
Me: “So, what is something you learned from all of these presentations?”
Student #1: “Tim Allen loves cocaine.”
Student #2: “Loved…Tim Allen loved cocaine.”
