Student: “Mrs.
A, your hair looks like my mom’s make-up brush.”
Me: “I feel
like that is an insult.”
Student: “I
said your hair looks like my mom’s make-up brush.”
Me: “I heard
you. I think you are insulting me,
but I do not really get it.”
Student: “No. It is a compliment. If I thought your hair was bad, I would
say, ‘Mrs. A, your hair is ugly, you should get that fixed.’”
Me: “Thanks.”
