Student: "Mrs. A, where is your American flag?"
Me: "The school has ordered one, but it isn't here yet."
Student: "Don't you have to have one by state law?"
Me: "Yes, our classroom is actually illegal right now."
(silence)
Student: "And you're Arab?"
Me: "Yes."
Student: "Watch out...Homeland Security may come and arrest you."
